Al Gore satsar allt mer på att omvända de unga generationerna till sitt budskap. Lyssna på ljudklippet nedan. Först jämför Al Gore klimatdebatten med debatten om ”civil rights”.

And we kids asked our parents and their generation, ’Explain to me again why it’s OK for the law to officially discriminate against people because of their skin color?’ And the parents try to tell their kids the right thing, you know? Usually, I do. And when our parents’ generation couldn’t answer that question, that’s when the law started to change.”
Och i slutet av ljudklippet blir det ännu bättre, för då påstår Al Gore att grunden till alla nuvarande kriser i världen är vårt beroende av fossila bränslen, framför allt kol. Den ekonomiska krisen, klimatkrisen och till och med alla krig skulle förvinna rätt av om vi bara kunde sluta använda olja, naturgas och kol. Al Gore glömmer då förstås att alla krig sker inte i Mellanöstern och handlar om tillgång till oljefält.
Tja, vad kan man vänta sig av en man som på fullt allvar hävdade att han uppfann internet. Misstänker att Herr Gore lider av lite självhävdelsebehov. Kanske har det med det att göra att han ju faktiskt vann presidentvalet 2000 men inte fick jobbet. Sånt kostar på.
När han nu inte fick bli president vill han skriva in sig i historieböckerna i all fall som den som:
1. Uppfann internet
2. Fixade klimatet
3. Löste energikrisen
4. Räddade världsfreden
och kanske lite till.

Håller med dig i det mesta S. Andersson men inte att Gore vann valet. Det gjorde han inte enligt rösträkningen, som dessutom inkluderade en omräkning av rösterna.
Den manuella omräkningen avbröts därför att den inte var i enlighet med konstitutionen. Hade man börjat om från början med en ny omräkning så hade den överskridit den konstutionella tidsgränsen ändå.
Eftersom vi aldrig kommer att få veta vad alla väljare tänkte och hur många som stämplade korten dåligt eller fel, kan man inte säga att Gore vann. Det enda slutsatsen är att valsystemet med hålkort inte är bra.
Så Bush vann valet enligt det valsystem som var giltigt och i enlighet med konstitutionen. Gore vann förstås ”popular vote”, men det är elektorer som gäller i USA.
Jag skriver inte detta därför att jag uppenbarligen har svårt för Gore idag sedan han blev profet. På den tiden var jag faktiskt besviken, eftersom jag gillade vissa inslag i Gores politik. Tro’t om ni vill.
Det gläder mig att se att fler här i Sverige upptäckt Glenn Beck. Fox News står ganska långt ifrån mig politiskt, men numera är det i princip det enda TV-bolag som vågar ta debatter i jobbiga ämnen – som klimatfrågan.
Det skulle också vara intressant om någon vågade granska Gores egna affärer. Han ”klimatkompenserar” uppebarligen för sina hundratusentals kwh – genom att köpa aktier i sitt eget bolag Generation Investment Management. Som i sin tur investerar i ”Carbon Markets and Climate-Related Financial Services”.
Det kan väl aldrig vara så att The Goracle tjänar pengar på sin religion?
Aha, Alexander, Caesar, Djingis Khan, Napoleon… Alla krigade de för oljan? Hade jag ingen aning om.
Nu kan ju vän av AGW-ordning flika in; ”Men de stred ju om sin tids resurser och nu är det olja som gäller.”
Ja, just det, och i framtiden ska vi inte ha några resurser eller? 🙂
Ergo: det är 100% ologiskt att CO2/olja/kol i sig bär skulden för detta. Det kunde lika gärna varit jordgubbar man stred om. Fast det är klart, då skulle väl en viss opinion vilja ”Ban Strawberries!”.
Till och med i Washington Post, som brukar har ’korrekta’ åsikter, ler man åt Goraklet. Dana Milbank har citat. Om oljan: ’Den här berg-och-dalbanan är på väg mot en krasch, och vi sitter i främsta vagnen.’ Om polarisarna: De är ’som ett klappande hjärta, och den permanenta isen ser nästan ut som blod som forsar ut ur en kropp, längs Grönlands östkust.’ Etc.

Och enligt välinitierade källor är även Obamas smekmånad slut.
Det är intressant att Al Gore skyller på kol, eftersom hans familjvarit ägare till dn mest beryktade kolgruvan i USA. det var den man sjöng om i sången om det slavliknande förhållandena då man bar 16 ton per dag och ändå bara blev mer och mer i skuld till bolagets affär. Ja, speciellt om man är lite bekväm av sig och dessutom har släktdrag som påminner om en Oppossum…
Nog har de flesta krig, i modern tid berott på att det funnits oljefyndigheter i närheten. Den största orsaken till Hitlers krig mot Ryssland var oljetillgångarna i Baku. Efter det har alla krig berott på jakten på olja. I exempelvis Vietnam, trodde först Fransmännen, sedan Amerikanarna att det fanns stora mängder olja i havet strax utanför kusten. Det visade sig sedan att det mest fanns gas och ingen olja. USA drog sig då ur, när de insåg att kriget inte längre skulle betala sig. Att USA:s krig i Irak, skulle bero på något annat än dess oljetillgångar, kan väl inte ens en politiskt blind höna undgå att se. Det första större utrikespolitiska beslut Obama fattar, är att skicka sjuttontusen man till Afghanistan, Att denna kostsamma insats skulle bero på att några skäggtomtar, långt uppe i bergen, där knappast ens getter kan bo, skulle hota USA, är väl knappast trovärdigt, om man tänker efter lite. Då låter det betydligt mer trovärdigt, att USA med Kinesiskt stöd vill kontrollera deras oljetillgångar, på cirka etthundra miljarder fat. Att det sedan bara är tre månaders världskonsumtion, är en annan femma. I Darfur står både USA och Kina redo att bistå den krigsherre som lyckas utrota flest fattiglappar. Oljefyndigheterna är väl i samma klass som i de föregående exemplen, eller lite större. Jo, nog krigas det om den sista oljan och har så gjort, både under det förra seklet och det nuvarande. Om man i ett vidare perspektiv tänker på att Europa har i stort sett slut så sin olja, så kanske vi, inom en snar framtid, får se ytterligare en part i den konflikt, som kommer att stå om Jordens sista olja.
